I feel like it's hard to keep the blog, and facebook, and instagram, all current. I like the blog cause I can tell the stories behind the pictures, so sorry it's been so long since I've written. Also I do look at everyone else's blogs, so those of you who blog, keep it going, I love looking at them!
so I was worried for June. Because I'm pregnant...yes if you haven't heard-i'm pregnant, due in January. So I was nervous for June because of how sick I've been, and I had 2 races and a whole week of girls camp. camping and running are not so fun when you're nausious/throwing up. But all 3 events went better than I thought, and were actually alot of fun.
First was the color me rad race in downtown SLC. me, my sister and parents did it last year, so we kept up the tradition and did it again this year. Above is the before and after pictures. we all even ran like the whole time, unless they were spraying us, so we did good!
I've taken Jeter boy to 7 peaks a couple times, and he's loved it. we met a whole bunch of cute momma's with thier babe's and had a blast. the next time Aunt Haley and Katelyn were down, so both times were great. (except for the parking ticket, I could of bought a season pass of parking for how much the stupid ticket was.) All my friends that went last time-we need to go again!
pictured above is after the color me rad race, we took the kiddo's to the art festival, had some navajo taco's and snow cones, played at the park, and listened to the live music.
This is a snap shot of girls camp. yes people, me, Nikki, camped, in a tent, for 4 whole days. I was so proud. I grew up in a small town and we camped yes, but let's just say I like one night, and I like my trailer. But girls camp was really fun, the leaders (which is the picture above) were all so great, the girls are wonderful, it was fun to spend time with so many great people. I was very happy to get home and shower and sleep in my own bed! and to see Jeter! (and Chris) I hadn't ever left Jeter over night, so 3 nights was a long time for me, I was missing my Jeter boy. I'm pretty sure he didn't miss me though, I got home, he gave me a hug and went right back to playing with grandma.
Jeter's new favorite thing is the hose. he drinks from it, he soaks himself, he washes his truck, he gets Copper wet, he gives Copper a drink, he water's my flowers, anything to have the hose out. I am glad that he's finally decided that he likes Copper, he' even shared the hose with him, so that must mean he likes him quite a bit more than he used to.
after girls camp, Haley and katelyn (chris's sisters) camp up and we went to 7 peaks then to ogden to a mud run. I'd never done one before, but it was lots of fun! You hardly run though, because there's so many obstacles and things to climb over and under, and crawl through, and water ponds to wade through...anyways it was alot funnier than I thought it was going to be! The best part was they had this HUGE net and you had to army crawl underneath it, in a huge mud pit. we got so dirty, and it took like literally 10 minutes to crawl through it.
This was the scariest obstacle for me, I have weak arms, and this pole was really long, it was a long way to fall if I couldn't hold myself up. ha ha-but I slide right down and it was actually really easy.
we celebrate 4th of July in Delta every year. This is Jeter and cousins Savy all ready to ride in the kiddy parade.
Jeter was going as fast as he could on this tiny scooter, he was like the very last kid because he's so slow (most the kids are riding real bikes) so Chris finally just picked him up and carried him the last little bit.
for finishing he did get a Popsicle, so it was worth it.
the next morning we went to the parade, Jeter got a ridiculous amount of candy. He loved the fire trucks, and the jet plans that fly over head, and the police cars almost more than the candy.
This was the shirt he was wearing for the 4th-he's my little super hero.
last weekend we went up to Park City and stayed in this super nice house. Chris also had his company's boat so we went boating basically all 3 days up at Deer Creek. Which isn't a whole bunch of fun for me, because I can't do anything but sit on the boat or the shore, but hey-being outside in the sun by the water is a better day then most things! So me and Jeter played alot in the water and the sand, and throwing rocks. But he also sat on my lap for over 2 hours on he boat while we towed people on wakeboards/tubes. He didn't want to get off-he loved the boat ride.
Jeter even was brave enough to get on the tube with me and Chris, we went for a little ride and he loved it. I'm glad he liked the lake, because I'm a lake lover too!
