snow, basketball, and projects

So I have been hating this freezing weather-you can't even go outside. and when you have an 18 month old and a puppy-that's a problem-they don't have any where to run off their energy. So anyways at the first of January we went sledding-the picture above I found this retro 49ers outfit at the DI, knowing that chris would love it-I got it for Jeter. he wore this underneath for sledding.
This is us sledding, and despite jeter's face in this picture him and the puppy loved it!

above is Jeter all handsome for his first day at nurshery-and he loves it-and we love being able to go to class. I just wish nursery lasted through sacrament meeting too!
Us bundling up tryin to let our toddler and puppy get some energy out again.

We went to a Utah basketball game like 2 weekends ago? with Blake and Talisa,it was fun to see them and thier cute little guy!

Jeter's new favorite game is having us pull him around while he sits/lays on a towel
We went to a Jazz game last weekend! thanks to a Christmas present from sister-it was great fun! Jeter was super nice and sat on my lap the whole time!
I had to persuade Jeter to get into the bath tub the other day...so we had to use one of his magic elmo tablet to change his water blue
Chris was gone this week to california for his work, so cousin Sav and Kenna came to visit-I also got to see my awesome college roomates! It was so good to see those girls-I love them-and the fact that we got to eat cheesecake factory..mmmm...my favorite!

below Jeter has started to nap like this-he never used to sleep on his tummy and now all the sudden he is-I think its cute so I snapped a picture..
while Chris was gone I decided to do some projects from pinterest. one was Jeter's dragon hat-mainly because I've tried on all the hats in the kid sections and none of them fit his huge head-this is an adult sized hat pattern I made for him. Hopefully that means he'll be smart like his dad, right? and not just have an abnormally large head. I also made a cute valentine thing with canvas and stripes and a heart...but I didn't take a picture. Below is what took me like 2 days of any spare time I had, recovering Jeter's car seat we got from a garage sale. It's a new car seat I looked it up to make sure it was safe and up to date, it was. So it just had ugly plaid black/brown fabric. So I recovered it with some cuter fabric-i was gonna do a cute sports themed one-but whenever we have our next kid-it could be a girl and I am NOT going to recover anymore carseats...I swore in my head a lot at this project, it took way too long, and I don't know how to do big enough button holes to get the straps through..anyways, lots of messes but now it looks good-and everything works-so I guess it was worth it.

  1. I am amazed at your car seat cover! I can only imagine how frustrating it was. I've been tempted to try and make one with a matching cover to drape over it... but then I come to my senses and figure I'd rather buy it than swear 1,000 times in the process. Nice job!!!
